Are we at the point of no return? Can we fix us?
These are questions many married people have to ask themselves. They generally go through a lot of soul searching before they act. They ask themselves are you valued by your spouse, are they supportive, do they act like you exist?
There are, of course, many other questions but those three, seem to be first of the many you will ask yourself. If you cannot honestly answer in the affirmative to each of them, why are you still in that relationship? Do you think they will change? Have you tried to show/tell them how you feel? If yes, did it work? Yes.. why are you at this point then? So no, you realize that they will never change, forget love that went out the door a long time ago. You’ll be lucky if love, hasn’t morphed into hate by now.
You're existing in your world and they in theirs. You get together every now and then over dinner or “events” afterward you seem to drift off, as do they. You miss the old days where you could get to together and laugh, have fun and just be yourself and be with them, but that laughter hasn’t come naturally in years maybe decades. It used to be they valued your opinions and you theirs, even if you disagreed a little here or there, because those opinions were not really that different. Now it’s a screaming match if you dare utter an opinion on anything. If you do dare, they insult you, walk off muttering that you are an absolute idiot. The sad part is, you know you are right, they know it too, but the gulf between you has grown so wide and deep they cannot see your point of view no mater what.
That describes America 2023.
Have we grown so far apart we can no longer stand the sight of each other, I’m afraid that is exactly were we are. I admit to feeling a sense of disgust, when the progressive left jumps for joy over something bad happening to someone on the right and I admit I get a little warm fuzzy feeling when that is reversed. These people are my fellow Americans, but it doesn’t matter, everything has become so politicized no one can simply be in the middle, you must chose a side. If you do take a side, if it is the “wrong” side, you are the enemy. If you try to take the middle road, both sides view you with scorn. Can you even stay in the middle now? I don’t believe you can any longer, one side has been so indoctrinated in the belief that Capitalism is bad and a Democratic Socialism is better, where Climate Change is the new religion. The other side is so fractured, so inept, they cannot get anything done, so are virtually neutered.
I want a divorce from them too.
I read on Social Media , every single day, post or tweets from the left and frankly they hate us as much as I have come to hate them. It didn’t’ have to be this way but here is where we are. I think it would be a good idea to go our separate ways for the sake of the “children” before a war breaks out. A second Un-Civil war would be devastating for us all, and while I believe there would be an eventual winner how then could we ever move forward.. the losing side will simply plot the winners demise, and will do whatever it took to make it happen. So, before we start taking potshots at each other let’s get a National Divorce.
I read a book, not to long ago, that the premise was exactly this story. The story starts after a Progressive Liberal president who happened to be a Chinese plant allowed America to be selectively nuked, he had allowed a virus into our tactical response system and we never fired a shot.
To make a long story short, after many battles with China, Russia and Cuban/Mexico forces on our soil and at sea, the New American Military fought back and re-took America and heavily retaliated against China and Russia.
We tried to unite, the liberal Left and the ultra conservative Right, but the Left wanted to go back to the open border, welfare, democratic socialist system they had that caused all of the problems and the Right wanted to go back to a simple Constitutional Republic and nothing else.
They tried to make it work but inevitably they failed. The NUSA and SUSA were created. I believe we are at this point without the war, but if something is not done and soon, some type of a “war” is coming.
I stand, where I thought most Americans stand… on the issue of Trump if he committed a crime then show the evidence and prosecute him.. 91 indictments later and if you actually dive deeper then just the surface of them you find a process so convoluted and the law so twisted together that no reasonable person can conclude anything other then, this is politically motivated. This may very well spark the war if it is allowed to continue to its illogical conclusion.
I believe hate is going to win this time and we will see more and more incidents of cities burning, people being beaten to the point of death etc.. and if we respond it will not stop until the last one is standing, of course the puppeteers behind all of this wants that war.. they want to remake America and they will not allow us to stand in their way, but stand we shall.
Wouldn’t it be easier just to get a divorce, we can run the SUSA as we see fit and they can run the NUSA as they see fit, they can practice their “Great Reset” to democratic Socialism and we will return to a Constitutional Republic and in 20 years or so maybe we can meet again and see how each side has made it work or not.
